Epiphany 7, 2011

The readings for this Sunday can be found here. I worked most closely with Matthew 5:38-48.

Today’s Gospel ends with “Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” But maybe it should be “Seek shalom, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is shalom.” Discussion of the Greek and Hebrew lies ahead.
